The Amber Spyglass by Phillip Pullman |
The bearer of the Subtle Knife, Will has been tasked
with delivering it to Lord Asriel. But how can he when Lyra has been
kidnapped? Only she can help him to disentangle all the plots and
intrigues that prevent him from doing so. The two great powers of good and
evil in the multi-verse are gearing up for war. Will must find Lyra
because they are on their inevitable way to The Battle, and their journey
will even take them to the World of the Dead. This is by far the deepest and most adult of the books. Just as Lyra grows up during the series, so does the author's expectations of the reader. This is a heady intense book full of huge ideas. |
